COVID-19 Statement

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak I have postponed all my group navigation courses and walks until 8th July, 2020, at which point I will review the current situation and latest guidance.

I am however able to offer private 121 sessions within Nottinghamshire or The Peak District, either teaching a 121 navigation course, offering a guided walk or for outdoor skills mentoring. Please contact me if you wish to discuss a private session.

I have been closely following the guidance issued by the Government, Mountain Training England, the British Mountaineering Council (BMC), National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) Mountain Rescue and all the National Parks where I generally work with my clients. Going forward, I will ensure that I have risk assessed all group courses and outlined in my operating procedures any changes necessary so that I can keep myself and my clients safe. These documents will be made available (if requested) to any clients before booking a course with me.

I am keen to resume my business and get some courses and training sessions up as soon as possible when I am confident the time is right and appropriate, for both myself and my clients. I am planning a very gradual return to the hills as my priority is your safety and enjoyment.

I will be producing a COVID-19 Code of Practice which every client and staff member whom I work with will need to read and sign. There will also be changes to my Medical and Consent forms which are currently being updated.

I will continue to assess the situation over the coming weeks and I do hope to be able to offer group sessions once the restrictions lift even further and when we have more flexibility and access to local facilities.

Thank you for your continuing support. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
