Hi! I’m Becky and I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader and Mountain Leader and have always loved getting out in the open air.

I moved to North Wales in 2019 where my best spare time is spent wandering the footpaths and mountains, swimming long (cold) distances in the many lakes, or tending to my veggie garden at home.

I worked for over 20 years as an RSPCA Inspector, where I was part of the swift water and rope rescue teams. I was made redundant in 2020 and found work as a Customer Service and Operations Manager at Mountain Training.

I strongly believe that, at 60 years old, you can do anything so long as you believe in yourself and practice the skills you need.

I am passionate about inspiring self-belief in others, particularly women. I love to enable others to find their way around in the mountains by imparting skills and knowledge to help them be safe in what can be a hostile environment.

My interests in the mountains go beyond teaching navigation and other technical skills; my interest in nature, flora (I am a qualified florist) and local history help me understand why the landscape is shaped the way it is and I can always take time to stop and admire that amazing view.

Becky is a qualified and registered tutor for the NNAS Qualification pathway, has full liability insurance and holds an Outdoor First Aid Certificate.
